Metafields
Quick Description
The Ragnok theme supports the ragnok.quick_description metafield on products.
We use this field to allow you to add a short description to your products.
Below, you will find information on how to create the quick description metafield, how to add a quick description to a product and display it:
1. Creating the Quick Description metafield
a) From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Custom data.
b) Select Products and click Add definition.
c) In the Name field, enter “Quick Description“.
d) In the Namespace and key field, enter “ragnok.quick_description“.
e) In the Description field, enter “A short description for the product.“
f) Click Select type, and then select “Multi-line text“.
g) Click Save to create the Quick Description metafield.
2. Adding a quick description to a product
After creating the quick description metafield, you will notice that a new field is now available in your products:
a) From your Shopify admin, go to Products and click on the product you want to add a quick description to.
b) Scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a Metafields section and the Quick Description metafield will be available, click on it to edit product quick description.
c) After entering your desired quick description for this product, click Save.
